Using Blockchain for Examination
Was thinking of a Blockchain concept to prevent question paper leaks so that students do not have to go through the pain that comes with leaked papers.
Anyone here knows what the current workflow for a C.B.S.E. class 10th / class 12th exam question paper from the time it is set till it is delivered to the examination hall is?
1. Where is it initially set?
2. Who initially sets it?
3. How many and who are intermediary parties involved that handle the papers till the document reaches the examination hall on the day and time of exam?
4. Does it spend the previous night somewhere else?
1. We could develop smart contracts using Ethereum to keep papers locked till it reaches the exam hall.
2. Every event of handover takeover of the document from one entity to another could be logged into the ledger.
3. The information related to the location of the question paper set shouldn't be centralized lying in a few servers but should be publicly available to police, educational institutions and district authorities.
4. The information should readily be available to all parties with no dependency on the setter or the owner at a particular point in time.
5. No stakeholder should be able to modify or edit the question paper set initially.
6. Any piece of information appended to the existing set should be agreeable to all stakeholders.
7. Transactions should be traceable and transparent.
